Our History
Southern Fencing Ltd was founded in 1973 by the now proprietor Michael Finn. Trading originally began from the rear gardens of Churchill Ave, Chatham until we acquired a small yard in Catherine street Rochester 1974. Our company rapidly grew and was one of the first businesses in Medway to supply and erect fencing .
Due to high demand on our domestic work, contracts for housing developments, industrial and commercial jobs soon followed and a bigger yard was needed, so the search began in the local area.
Boxley Road in Walderslade has been the home to Southern fencings premises since 1980, due to its excellent road links to Maidstone & Kent with the close proximity to the M2 motorway.
Present Day
The business remains to this day a private company, family owned & operated by Mr Finn and his sons who know the fencing trade inside out.
With over 40 years of experience to our name we continue to pride ourselves on having a good working relationship, together with a well respected name with the South East’s top commercial developers. But not resting on a laurels we are still happy providing a competitive and complete service for domestic gardens, making sure we still provide our customers with the best products knowledge and expertise that provides the highest customer satisfaction.
Our Yard
We are very proud of our yard which always stocks a wide range of fencing panels, some of which are made on site by one of our joiners & we welcome you to come along and have a look at our range of panels for yourself to see the quality of workmanship.
